Dr. Makuta is passionate about dentistry, health care and wellness of her patients. She has been involved in dentistry since 1985 when she was a dental assistant for a doctor in Tarzana.
Knowing since the age of 5 that she wanted to be a dentist, Dr. Makuta pursued a rigorous academic schedule attending the University of California at Irvine obtaining a degree in Biological Sciences. She then went on to attend the Dental School at the University of California, San Francisco, graduating in 1998. Dr. Makuta is continually advancing her knowledge in dentistry to benefit her patients. She is an Invisalign and ClearCorrect provider, places and restores dental implants, and is in the process of obtaining her Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry.
As a San Fernando Valley native, Dr. Makuta is excited to be helping people maintain and advance their health in her home area. She has two children that keep her very busy. She and her husband love to travel and are big sports fans. Dr. Makuta has been in practice for over 20 years.
Chelsea is our Dental Assistant. Originally from New Jersey, she made the move out to Los Angeles four years ago. She has been in the dental field for six years and loves every second of it. She is dedicated to making our patients feel comfortable and at home and will even (literally) hold your hand through every appointment. If the thought of having X-Rays taken gives you anxiety, you are definitely in the right hands with Chelsea. Quick and painless, they will be over before you know it! She is in the process of obtaining her RDA and is excited to continue expanding her education.
Sue is our Office Administrator. She is the first and last person you will see during your visit to our office. She cares deeply for each and every patient who walks through our door. She is very passionate, caring, and loves teaching and helping others. If you have any questions regarding appointments, insurance, financing, or treatment, she is your girl!
